We are open two weeks earlier than usual, and the roses, peonies, clematis and honeysuckle will be at their best. Heather has developed a new woodland border full of hostas, hydrangeas, ferns, epimediums and other shade loving delights.
St Stephens Avenue Gardens, St Albans, AL3 4AD. Combined admission to numbers 20 and 30 = £5, children free. Teas and home made cakes, plants for sale. WC.
Please also note that sadly the opening at 14 Corinium Gate that same afternoon has been cancelled due to illness.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped at the Plant Sale on the Friday and Saturday. We were a great team and the Sale was a success again. Thank you to everyone who helped put up the tables, who donated the lovely plants, who helped to price them and display them on the tables, helped sell them on Saturday, kept us and the visitors supplied with drinks and the musclemen and women who helped with the clearing up at the end. And also those who have taken away the black table-cloths to wash and return at our first winter meeting. It was a great event.
Also check your diaries to see if you are free on Saturday 7th July. Maggie Lacey would love to hear from you as there are still some seats available on the wonderful coach trip she has arranged to John Massey’s garden, Ashwood Nurseries and Stone House Cottage garden.
Hope to you see you then, Beryl
