Safe Seedlings

Just a brief reminder that the HHPS Seedling Swap, due to take place on 18 April is cancelled.  Needless to say, my own green shoots are barely poking through right now, so I’ll definitely be missing the opportunity to acquire some supplementary stock!

Hope your gardens are enjoying the upturn in the weather, and don’t forget that you can share your experiences by adding a comment to this post.

  1. It’s growing plants and my garden that is helping me get through this lock down.
Is it ok to put my salad plants out in the open ground .

    1. Hello Marie-Claire
So much depends on exactly what you’re growing and where your open ground is….. Having said that, if you have a sheltered site, and are willing to protect your plants should the weather get colder again (especially overnight) you might risk putting a few plants outdoors, or making an outdoor sowing with suitable seed. This is a personal view, you understand, for which the HHPS are not responsible!!

  2. …….at last I’ve had time to sow all those packets of seeds that have been lurking in the bottom of the fridge!
