Last Friday, Liz Egre and Lesley Hopkins raised £90 for HHPS funds with a pop-up and socially-distanced sale in Connaught Road.
David Singleton’s fuchsias formed part of a sale organised by Anastasia the same weekend. Kerchingggg! another seriously impressive £125!
This weekend, starting tomorrow and lasting 3 days, Beryl will be selling from her home to her local U3A gardening group, all the while maintaining social distancing.
And finally, advance notice of Heather & Carol’s sale to be held on Saturday 23 May in aid of the NGS special ‘Help Support Our Nurses’ appeal.
They’re holding it in St Stephens Park from 10 am to 12 noon. Access is via a wide grassy entrance between numbers 42 and 44 on St Stephens Avenue, and they’ll put up NGS arrows on the day.
The plants will be on widely spaced tables and crates. The ‘stalls’ won’t be manned because of social distancing requirements, and payment will be into honesty boxes. Please bring a mixture of coins and notes so you won’t require change, also bring your own bags.
